This page details the information we collect and how we use it. We have two classes of users: purchasers, and Detectives.
Purchasers must create an account, which will ask for your email address. Payment processing is handled through Stripe. We collect no personally identifiable information related to payment processing. All credit card and other payment info is handled entirely on the Stripe side.
Purchasers must be at least 13 years old.
A purchaser must provide us with the following information about a Detective.
The email address is used to send the Detective the link to play through the story purchased for them.
The title, first name, and last name need not be their real information, and will only be used inside those stories that address the Detective by name.
The pronouns will be used by those stories that use the Detective pronouns in some way, typically by making the Detective a character in the story.
Purchasers buying a story for children under 13 years old should use a parent's email address and not use the child's real name.
We use Stripe for payment processing. When we ask Stripe for the status of a payment, we may need to send your email so Stripe can find the payment record. Stripe does not use this for anything but looking up the status of your payment.
Our customer support system, FreshDesk, asks for your email address when you submit a support ticket. Your email address is only used as a place to receive notifications about your support request.
